Camarillo, California – We are proud to announce that the City of Camarillo has been awarded Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for our Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (Annual Report), for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019.
This is the 32nd consecutive year that Camarillo has received this award for excellence in financial reporting. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a government entity must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized Annual Report. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements. The purpose of the Annual Report is to provide insight to external users including city residents, public investors, and other interested parties, into the City’s financial condition and performance throughout the prior fiscal year.
“Solid fiscal management has always been a top priority for Camarillo,” shared City Manager Greg Ramirez. “This award, which is the highest form of recognition in governmental financial reporting, represents a significant commitment of City Council and City staff toward meeting governmental transparency and disclosure.”
