The Department of Administrative Services directs and provides program development, administration, and coordination of internal general operations. Areas of oversight include Library Operations, Information Systems, Human Resources, Facilities Management, and Fleet Maintenance.

Carmen NicholsCarmen Nichols, Director of Administrative Services, heads a staff of 14 full time employees with varied responsibilities in five divisions. 

Fleet Maintenance
 purchases, equips and maintains City vehicles and equipment through in-house and contracted services while finding opportunities to use alternate and low emission vehicles.

Facilities Management 
oversees property management operations, Development of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, monitors all building systems, manages and contracts for cleaning, repair, and maintenance.

Human Resources oversees personnel, risk management, benefits, salaries, recruitment, safety training, and employee and volunteer recognition events. 

Information Systems oversees the Local Area and Wide Area Computer Networks, Internet Website, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), mid-range computing, software development, training, implementation, printing and duplicating, graphics, telecommunication, audio-visual services, and office automation.
